Skills and Awareness for First aid, Emergency Response and Wilderness Training

Duration: 2 days

Target Audience: Primarily for medical professionals with a interest in wilderness medicine. 

Minimum Qualification: MBBS degree with national/state medical council registration

 

Objective: To equip participants with skills and knowledge for first aid, emergency response, and management of medical situations specifically in wilderness environments.

 

Core Training Components:

  • Essential Wilderness Medicine Skills: Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of wilderness medicine, preparing them to handle unique medical issues that arise in remote settings.

  • Didactics would include animal attack; identification of the local flora; management of allergies bites and stings; water disinfection

  • The practical sessions would include Initial patient assessment Dislocation and fractures: splints Pulls, lifts, litters and carries.

Registration Fee : ₹2950/- inclusive of GST

  • Accommodation included and would be provided on a twin-sharing basis on 18th May 2024.

  • Dinner provided on18th May, Breakfast and Lunch on 19th May.
